Undersheriff Chris Andrews

Undersheriff Chris Andrews currently serves as second in command. He is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the Law Enforcement, Communications, and Correctional Divisions of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Undersheriff Andrews started his law enforcement career in 1995 at the City of Madison Police Department while attending the North Florida Community College Public Safety Academy. In October 2002, he became a Deputy Sheriff with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

During his career with MCSO, Undersheriff Andrews has served the Sheriff’s Office in many roles and held many ranks within the agency. He has held the positions of Patrol Deputy, K-9 Interdiction Officer, Drug Task Force Investigator,  SWAT Team Leader and Commander, Over Agency Training and Evidence.  Throughout the years with MCSO Andrews has held the ranks of Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and became Undersheriff in 2021. 

Undersheriff Andrews has been an Instructor with North Florida College Public Safety Academy since 2007. He has served as a U.S. Marshall since 2009.  Undersheriff Andrews completed the Commanders Academy Class 7, in June of 2018.  Andrews is also recognized by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission as an Active Shooter and Firearms Subject Matter Expert.

Undersheriff Andrews, his wife Heather, and their sons Tyler and Trent enjoy time together as a family. Andrews enjoys fishing, hunting, golf, corn hole, and vacationing with his family.
